 Here I go again...actually, we will have the car back from Vicksburg Auto Body by the end of this week, or the first of next.

Today the car goes to Vicksburg Auto Body for paint.

Boy is it cold out!  23 degrees with a windchill that is terrible, but the sun is shining and I took some pictures this morning.

Car is back and has a rollcage! 
Today we get a time and cost estimate on painting.  Hopefully, they can do it soon...

We just got back from picking up more parts from Ford Racing...honestly, still have 3 backordered but............tomorrow we can pick the Mustang up from the rollcage installation...it is done!!

Than the car will go off to be painted...and then back here for assembly!

As soon as the car comes back I will update photos...

and again...thanks for checking back here regularly...I'll post photos and I will also get an estimate of when the car will be through paint!

We picked up the transmission yesterday, plus all parts that go with the trans....

still need back order of Ford Racing parts and so far the rollcage is not complete...soon, soon...

Well, yes, we could have picked up the transmission this weekend and the car but the weather was not very good for driving to Detroit or hauling a trailer.

We've waited this long, safety first!

We think we have good news for next weekend.

2010 Mustang #23 Cobra Jet.

The rollcage installation could be done by next weekend, then we can bring the car home and then on to the painter.  Also, we can pick up the transmission next Saturday...yes, I think things are beginning to come together.

We just returned from Ann Arbor, picked up more Ford Racing parts...there are still a few more parts on order there.
We have received the items from Strange, and from Aeromotive (Lane).
The rollcage installation is not complete yet, as soon as that is done, it will go almost directly to the painter.

I know, it seems we have been taking forever...but once it is in our hands again, elbows and wrenches will be flying.

Thanks for checking back...we have have not given up...but you all probably know the saying:  Hurry up and wait, well that's where we are right now!

Happy New Year Everyone!
We are currently waiting for the rollcage to be completed, and waiting for parts from Ford Racing and Strange.

As soon as things start happening here again, I will be posting.  Sorry for the delays, but hopefully we will be in full swing in February, if not the last of January.

Just got back from Ann Arbor with new Ford Racing Parts......yes!

Well, Adam and I worked on the car Friday, from 10am to 3pm.

Adam ground all the goop off that they put in the cars to keep the sound from coming in. 

It was a very hard job, not to mention dusty, dirty, discussing.  He had the grinder I had the shop vac...I still ended up with grit and grim in places I didn't know I had.  But it's done, and the garage is clean.  Sorry, I didn't get any photos..just too much to handle with my safety glasses, ear plugs and breathing mask!

Still waiting for the Ford Racing parts!!!!!!!!!!!!

Waiting for a call back from the Ford Racing Parts Department today, so Adam decided to remove the stickers from the doors stored in the guest room.  Looks pretty comfortable.

Amazing how much "more Cobra Jet" the doors look with out the stripe.

And yes, I am being a good sport about having car parts in the house...sort of.

Well, not too much going on right now...as you can tell by my lack of posts.

We are hoping to talk with the roll cage installer next week, so there are a few things still on the Pony that are not on the Cobra Jet that have to be removed..some with a heat gun.  Fun times.

Ford Racing parts seem to be on back order, we are looking for a delivery date.

I will keep you posted, hopefully, things will get going soon.

Adding a few more photos that I've taken this week.

The Pony is beginning to look more like the Cobra Jet as it gets cleaner.  I was amazed at the difference in the appearance by just removing the stripes and spoiler.

Also a photo of some of the items from Strange.

We need to get the roll cage in process....

Adam is checking out the roll cage, well, the roll cage tubing. It is complete, just not welded.   Looks like Adam just can't hardly wait to open that package.

And he is here, all those parts fit so nicely in the rented van.
Engine, transmission, hood and lots of parts and pieces...and off to Quebec Canada they go..

It was great to meet Camille and now we have a new Canadian friend.  At this moment we are waiting to hear that he arrived home safely!
